We Are The Church: The Invitation

Aug 9, 2026    Pastor Chad Carter

We live in a time when people are searching for answers. Many are carrying burdens they never expected to carry. Some feel disconnected, discouraged, and spiritually exhausted.

But I believe God is reminding us of something important.

The Church is still God's plan.

The Church is still a place of hope.

The Church is still a place of healing.

And the Church is not a building.

We are the Church.

This series cannot stay inside these walls. If the Church is God’s family, then our invitation must reach the people who are missing from the table. Somebody is waiting on a reminder that God has not forgotten them. Somebody is waiting on an invitation that says, there is still a place for you.

This message should remind us that God Himself is the One inviting them back, not the church, not the pastor.

Are you excited about coming to church?

If we truly believe God meets us here, changes lives here, restores families here, and speaks hope here, then inviting someone should not feel like a burden. It should feel like sharing good news.

We're not just counting down days. We're building momentum.

Step 1: Ask God to place one name on your heart.

Step 2: Write that name down.

Step 3: Pray for that person by name every day between now and Back to Church Sunday.

Step 4: Invite them

Step 5: Participate

One invitation could lead to one salvation. One salvation could change an entire family. One changed family could impact a generation.
