Childlike not Childish

Jesus used a child to help his self-centered students get the point…don’t be childish and argue over petty things.  But be childlike, with humble and sincere hearts.  We have all heard of church arguing over petty things…wall colors, carpet styles, chairs or pews…

We cannot get so preoccupied with our corporate thinking that we lose sight of Jesus and his divine purpose…The disciples were like kids on a long trip in the back seat of the car…don’t touch me, mom he said…dad she hit me… 

Don’t count how many years you’ve spent,

just count the good you’ve done. 

The times you lent a helping hand,

the friends that you have won. 

Count your deeds of kindness,

the smiles and not the tears,

count all the pleasures that you’ve had,

but never count the years.
