Which Way - Materialism
Judas took a walk with Jesus for 3 years, but he never let go of his old way, his old thoughts. Money seemed to be his dominating thought. Though we can discern through scripture that Judas didn't realize the depth of his betrayal, he never gave Jesus the chance to forgive him and he hung himself.
Everyday we wake up with that same choice...we can decide to walk with Christ or turn away and betray him.
1. Judas was not an evil man
2.The decision to betray Jesus only came into his mind a day before the deed was done.
3.When this act of betrayal was committed, he didn't know it would lead to the death of Christ
When Christ was near:
1.There was plenty to eat
2.There was power; sick healed, power in position
3.Success followed Christ.
4.It was safe to let people see his religious side.
