What Are Our Priorities

Nov 9, 2025    Pastor Chad Carter

Each one of us here has a priority in our life, finances, jobs, relationships. So many competing priorities that often times we forget some of the most important things in the very things that we claim to love so dearly. IF you didn’t go to church last week because your car broke down, your priorities changed. There is not a lot you can do about that.

The Bible emphasizes the importance of prioritizing family through verses like Ephesians 5:21-33. Family priorities are easy to see and generally easy to find the time for.  We make the time for these priorities and we should.

The modern pulpit has been used for nefarious and treacherous actions at times…mostly at the cost of congregations that have not read, studied and prayed through the scriptures.

I read a note the other day discussing the importance of studying scripture but do not study to the detriment of reading the scripture.

There are some passages that must be studied thoroughly to understand and help guide us through other passages. Leviticus is a prime example of a Book that Requires study...Make it a priority.

We must make it a priority to study, read, and pray through scripture or how can there be a bible teaching with telling authority when the book has lost its old-time commands?

We cannot the bible to be a mere historical document and then pretend we know better…

What is our priority?

Jesus said : 12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  John 8:12

There is something we need to understand…this is your choice. God doesn’t want any of us to Perish, he is patient and waits for us, but what is the time frame? You and I do not know.

Cry out today…Here is my heart Lord…I am yours…

Know today that you are loved

What is our priority?

The Bible is our rule of Faith and Christ alone is Lord.  Our world is a mess, and God’s kingdom is not about earthly politics, the riches of this world are nothing compared to the spiritual riches of the king of kings and those rewards are for us to claim by accepting Christ as our king.
