“When we step out in Faith with the Lord, the only right way to go is whatever direction He Points us – even with the path ahead seems impossible and the steps seem immense.”

Recently we looked at Joshua’s qualifications to be a leader after Moses. The thought came to mind ---Where has God called you to be a leader? What have you done to prepare for this call?  I pray that you will hear the next steps for you to take in that calling through this message.

Joshua learned from his time in the field, that sending out the right people would bring a more concise and precise report of the true capabilities. God was calling Joshua to step into Faith and in doing so, he took a page from his past. Two men believed back then, two men could believe now.

God chose Rahab, God doesn't always pick the people we think he should have picked. But he knew the truth he knew Rahab’s heart and she was not going to let her past keep her from her new role in God's plan.

They are preparing; Waiting on a Word from God--- The Israelites didn’t rush to the Jordan; they camped for three days, waiting for God’s signal—the ark of the covenant, His presence. Joshua instructed them to consecrate themselves (Joshua 3:5), preparing their hearts for what God would do. Preparation isn’t just waiting; it’s aligning our hearts with God’s purpose through prayer, worship, and surrender.

Think about a big moment in your life—a new job, marriage, or a tough decision. Preparation matters. Just as athletes train before a race, we prepare for God’s promises through spiritual disciplines. Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.” The Israelites followed the ark, not their own instincts. We prepare by fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
