Military In Lasting Tribute: Digital Military Memorial

From the Pastor’s Heart:

As I was going through the list of soldiers, marines, airmen and sailors that have been killed while serving our country honorably since 1985 I noticed one thing:

They were all the same color. They were red, white, and blue.

They might have been wearing different uniforms, some were older, and many were very young. Some had a chest full of medals and awards; others had only a few. There were male and female, but they were all the same color; red, white and blue.

They were someone's brother or sister, son or daughter, mother or father, aunt or uncle; maybe they were the only child, the last one in the family line. But they were all the same color; red, white, and blue.

They were husbands or wives, boyfriends or girlfriends. Some were born outside the USA, while others were red blooded American. But they were all the same color; red, white, and blue.

It is said that a soldier doesn't fight because he hates what is in front of him, He fights because he loves what is behind him. An anonymous quote says, “our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it”; the Red, the White the Blue.

Remember our brave this Memorial Day and every day…You may not have anyone on that list, you probably couldn’t name one name…They didn’t know your name either…but they knew you were Red, White and Blue too!

May God Bless You and God Bless America!
