Dec 2023

Dec 4, 2023    Pastor Chad Carter

As we Begin the Christian year, we also celebrate the Holy Season known as Advent. It is a time when we prepare ourselves for the coming of our Messiah. Advent means “Coming”. We celebrate these days of Advent in expectation and preparation for Christ’s arrival.

That is how we started our Hanging of the Greens service on Dec 3. It was a spectacular service that included so many of our brothers and sisters within the Church of God... We even pulled in some "FIRST TIME" visitors to help with the decorating of the church. I don't think we could have done it any better. We have a very talented congregation!

Christmas is a wonderful time for us; not only the celebration of the birth of our Savior, but it is an event that is celebrated all over the world. No other event has stood the test of time like Christmas.

But with all the joy, celebration and HOPE found in the birth of

Christ, we do have a lot of work to do. Within this world, we have so many

that have chosen not to be merry and happy, full of joy and hope. Some are

going through a tough time mourning the loss of a loved one, the despair of a

broken relationship and the loneliness that seems to creep in...

At Hope, you will feel welcomed and loved. From the time you enter the door, you are greeted, hugged on (if you will let us) and welcomed into God's Church.

This Christmas let us be especially ready to respond to the community with all the HOPE that Christ offers, the very freedom from the pains and chains that bind us if we allow Jesus into our life.

Let us find Joy in praying for a Merry CHRISTmas. We look forward to seeing you soon...
