The trial against Jesus was illegal in so many ways. Under Jewish law the trial could not begin after dark, a person cannot be executed on the same day sentence was passed, and a person could not be sentenced on a feast day or the day before a feast day. A person cannot be sentenced on Sabbath or the day before a Sabbath. But all of these rules Mercedes side when Christ was tried, sentenced, and executed. They were going to do it no matter what nothing could stop them.
